“Chow
has a considerable lead over other candidates,” said Dr. Lorne Bozinoff,
President of Forum Research. “However, with six weeks until election day,
anything may happen.”
Among
those surveyed, the most important issues in the mayoral election are housing
affordability (25%) and the cost of living & inflation (19%), consistent
with the previous week.
The poll was conducted by
Forum Research with the results based on an interactive voice response
telephone survey of 1029 randomly selected Toronto residents over the age of 18,
71% by cellphone and 29% on landlines. The poll was conducted on May 13th,
2023. Results based on the total sample are considered accurate +/- 3%, 19
times out of 20. Subsample and regional results will be less accurate. Margins
of error for subsample results are available at www.forumresearch.com/samplestim.asp.
