PCs Continue to Lead in Toronto

Toronto, April 10th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 840 Toronto voters, amongst those decided and leaning, if an election were held today, (38%) say they would support the Progressive Conservatives. (31%) say they would support the Liberals, with (22%) in favour of the NDP, and (6%) saying they would vote Green. (2%) say they would support another party.

Torontonians Support a $15.00 Minimum Wage

Toronto, April 6th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 840 Toronto voters, (70%) approve of an increase to the minimum wage in Ontario, from $11.40 to $15.00. Only (25%) would disapprove, and (5%) don’t know.

A Third Think Economy Should be Focus of Ontario Budget

Toronto, April 3rd – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 884 Ontario voters, (33%) respond that the economy should be the priority in the 2017 budget. Healthcare (21%) was the second most popular response, followed by the Environment (12%), Infrastructure (10%), Other (10%), and Education (9%). Only a small proportion of respondents said they do not know (5%) what the priority should be.

Overwhelming Support for “Money Skills” in High School

Toronto, April 3rd – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 884 Ontario voters, almost nine-in-ten (86%) support the government’s decision to introduce financial literacy, also referred to as “money skills,” into the provincial high school curriculum. Only (5%) disapprove, with (9%) responding that they do not know.

Majority Oppose Ontario Hydro Cut

Toronto, April 3rd – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 884 Ontario voters, more than half (56%) disapprove of reducing Hydro rates at the cost of increasing debt. (32%) are in favour, and (12%) don’t know.

Foreign Buyers Tax on Real Estate in GTA Supported

Toronto, April 3rd – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 884 Ontario voters, almost two-thirds (62%) of respondents say they would support a foreign buyer’s tax on real estate in the GTA. (20%) would oppose the imposition of a tax on foreign buyers, with (19%) saying they do not know.

Wynne Liberals on Track to Lose Party Status in 2018

Toronto, March 30th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 884 Ontario voters, amongst those decided and leaning, the PCs (43%) hold a 15-point lead over their nearest rival – the NDP (28%). The Liberals (19%) are 24 points back of the leading Progressive Conservatives. The Green Party sits at (8%).

PCs Overtake Liberals in Toronto

Toronto, March 16th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 966 Toronto voters, amongst those decided and leaning, the PCs (36%) have extended a five-point lead over the governing Liberals (31%). The PC lead is up four percent since February (1% lead over Liberals on Feb. 10). The NDP are unchanged at (22%), as are the Green (7%), but the collective “other parties” is up to (4%) (2%: Feb. 10).

Progressive Conservatives Tracking Toward Super Majority

Toronto, February 21st – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 1,120 Ontario voters, amongst decided and leaning voters, the Progressive Conservatives have extended nearly a twenty-point lead over their nearest rival in the province. If an election were held today the PCs would get (44%), the NDP (25%), the Liberals (24%), and Green (6%).

Over 40% Believe Ontario Doctors Should be Paid More

Toronto, February 21st – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 1,120 Ontario voters, (42%) believe that the provincial government should pay Ontario doctors more. (32%) say no, they shouldn’t be paid more, and (26%) don’t know.
