PCs Continue to Lead in Toronto

Toronto, April 10th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 840 Toronto voters, amongst those decided and leaning, if a provincial election were held today, (38%) say they would support the Progressive Conservatives. (31%) say they would support the Liberals, with (22%) in favour of the NDP, and (6%) saying they would vote Green. (2%) say they would support another party.

Respondents who say they would support the Progressive Conservatives include those aged 45-54 (48%), males (48%), earning $80,000-$100,000 (45%), with some college/university (38%) or a college/university degree (39%), who drive to work or school (46%), live in Etobicoke (45%) or North York (43%), and support Doug Ford for Mayor (56%).

Respondents who say they would support the Liberals include those aged 35-44 (36%) or 55-64 (35%), females (37%), the least wealthy (44%), with some college/university (41%), who take public transit to work or school (37%), and support John Tory for Mayor (42%).

Respondents who say they would support the NDP include those aged 34 or younger (29%) and earning $40,000-$60,000 (32%).

“The Progressive Conservatives still lead in Toronto, a region which the Liberals need if they have any hope of re-election.
