CAQ Government

Toronto, September 30th, 2018  – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 1716 Québec voters, amongst those decided and leaning, CAQ looks ready to secure government with a third (33%) of support. The PLQ will receive about a quarter (28%), while the PQ will secure one-fifth (20%), and QS will secure one-sixth (17%).

Other parties will receive little support (2%).

Seats

The CAQ government will win 65 seats. The PLQ will serve as opposition with 41 seats. The PQ will win 14, and QS will win 5.

“The CAQ faltered during the middle of the campaign, and for a time, looked like they may lose their lead altogether,” said Dr. Lorne Bozinoff, President of Forum Research. "But ultimately, enough Québec voters want change, and that desire will see a CAQ government elected on October 1st."
