Privatization Opposed
But a Quarter are Undecided
Toronto, March 24th
– In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ amongst
1029 Canadian voters, (45%), a strong plurality, oppose the privatization of
Canada’s airports. Just over 1-in-10 support the privatization (13%), and about
a quarter (26%) are undecided. Fifteen percent do not know (15%).
Opposition is
characteristic of those in the highest income category ($100k to $250k: 54%), with
a post graduate degree (57%), living British Columbia (66%), and NDP voters (65%).
Respondents likely
to support the privatization are male (17%), and Conservative (15%) or Liberal voters
(16%).
“The privatization of
Canada’s airports is opposed by a strong plurality of voters, but it's worth
noting that more than a quarter of Canadians are still undecided on the issue,”
