Trans Mountain Pipeline, with a third (35%) saying they support it strongly.
A third (BTM2: 35%) oppose the
expansion of the Trans Mountain Pipeline, with a quarter (23%) saying they
oppose it strongly.
1 in 10 (10%) did not know.
Support for Expansion primarily in the
Prairies, least in Quebec
Those who are most likely to support
the pipeline are between the ages of 45-54 (61%), 55-64 (62%), or 65+ (62%), males
(65%), the most wealthy (64%), completed college or university (58%), and
living in Alberta (82%).
Those most likely to oppose the
pipeline are between the ages of 18 to 34 (44%), female (41%), the least

post-graduate degree (36%), or live in Québec (50%).
“Unsurprisingly, the greatest

Dr. Lorne Bozinoff. “If the Canadian oil industry continues to slow down, the
expansion project will become more and more important to election prospects in
Western Canada.”
