government wrongdoing from the past, with a third (30%) saying they strongly
agree.
A little less than half (BTM2: 46%) say they
disagree that Trudeau apologizes too much for government wrongdoing from the
past, with a quarter (23%) saying they strongly disagree.
Respondents most likely to say they agree
include those over 45 years old (57% of those 45 to 54, 56% of 55 to 64, 57% of
65 and over), males (60%), from Alberta (62%), and voting Conservative (75%) or
PPC (77%).
Those who say they strongly agree are
most likely 45 to 54 years old (36%) or 55 to 64 (33%), males (37%), earning
$80k-$100k (33%) or $100k-$250k (31%), from Alberta (41%), and voting

“Although only a slight majority of Canadians
agree Trudeau apologizes too often for past wrongdoings from the government,
almost a third strongly agree,” said Dr. Lorne Bozinoff, President of Forum
Research. “Perhaps not surprisingly, a strong majority of the Canadians who say
they are planning to vote Conservative in the upcoming election agree that the
Prime Minister apologizes too much.”
