“Furey
and Bailao may be changing the dynamic,” said Dr. Lorne Bozinoff, President of
Forum Research. “In the last two weeks, we might see a surprise upset.”
Among
those surveyed, the most important issues in the mayoral election are housing
affordability (27%) and the cost of living & inflation (21%), consistent
with the previous week.
The poll was
conducted by Forum Research with the results based on an interactive voice
response telephone survey of 1047 randomly selected Toronto residents over the
age of 18, 76% by cellphone and 24% on landlines. The poll was conducted on June
9th, 2023. Results based on the total sample are considered accurate
+/- 3%, 19 times out of 20. Subsample and regional results will be less
accurate. Margins of error for subsample results are available at www.forumresearch.com/samplestim.asp. This research is
not necessarily predictive of future outcomes, but rather captures opinion at
one point in time.
