The Forum PollTM is the Only Poll that Predicted PEI PC Win

Also correctly identified PC minority government

TORONTO, April 24th – The Forum Poll successfully predicted the outcome of the PEI provincial election of April 23rd, 2019.

Forum’s Interactive Voice Response (IVR) polling methodology once again proves to be a precise tool for measuring public opinion, as we are the only polling company to predict a Progressive Conservative minority win with a Green opposition.

Forum’s deviation of 2.12 was ahead of Mainstreet and MQO, whose deviations of 2.52 and 4.40, were the third and fourth most accurate.

Forum’s seat prediction was very precise, suggesting that the Progressive Conservatives would win a minority government with 13 seats, the Green party would serve as official opposition with 10, and the Liberals would win 3.

Our prediction deviated from the actual results by an average of only 1.2 seats

“Forum was the only firm to predict a Progressive Conservative win, and we predicted the minority government, at that,” said Forum Research President, Dr. Lorne Bozinoff. “Collecting data within the margin is important, obviously…but if the data didn’t, like ours, point to the PC minority, is that really an accurate prediction?”
