In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 882 Toronto voters, three quarters approve of the job John Tory is doing as mayor (74%).
Almost one quarter say they live in a neighbourhood with a marijuana dispensary (23%), and this percentage has doubled since we last asked this question just two months ago (March 23 - 11%).
Four-in-ten voters give the chief a positive job rating (excellent/good - 40%) and an equal proportion give him a negative job rating (fair/poor - 40%).
Almost all characterize Toronto’s homes as not affordable (89%), and 4-in-10 describe them as “not at all affordable” (41%).
The ranked ballot electoral system is strongly preferred to the current first past the post system when the two are directly compared (46% to 29%).
The majority support the Black Lives Matter movement (55%), and 3-in-10 support it “very strongly” (29%)
One third have used the Uber ride-sharing app (32%).
As many as 7-in-10 approve of the job John Tory is doing as mayor (71%).
Close to three quarters approve of the job John Tory is doing as mayor (72%).
The majority, well more than half, approve of the revised plan for the Scarborough subway.
