Liberal Vandenbeld with strong lead in John Baird's old riding
Conservatives lag in Ottawa West-Nepean
TORONTO September 25th, 2015 - In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 1083 voters in the slightly redistricted federal riding of Ottawa West-Nepean, close to half will vote for the Liberal candidate, Anita Vandenbeld (46%), while just more than a third will vote for the Conservative candidate, Abdul Abdi (35%). One sixth will vote NDP (Marlene Rivier - 15%).
“This is, of course, John Baird, the Minister of Everything's old riding, and he's left some pretty big shoes to fill. It appears the Conservatives may come away empty handed here," said Forum Research President, Dr. Lorne Bozinoff.
