Progressive Conservatives to take more than half the vote

NDP, Liberals closely matched, Greens with significant support

TORONTO April 18th, 2016 - In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 1083 Manitoba voters on the night before the provincial election, the Progressive Conservatives will take more than half the vote (52%), while the NDP (21%) and the Liberals (18%) will split most of the balance. The Green Party has an uncharacteristically robust vote share of one tenth (9%).

14 seat majority seen

If these results are projected up to the 57 seat Legislature, the PCs would capture a 14 seat majority of 43, while the NDP would take 11 and the Liberals 3.

The PCs’ dominance in the vote share isn’t a surprise to any pollster, but it is interesting to note recent revelations about his Costa Rican properties don’t seem to have hurt Brian Pallister’s prospects of forming the next government," said Forum Research President, Dr. Lorne Bozinoff.
