Plurality Would Support Cancelling City Pride Grants in Response to Cops’ Exclusion

Toronto, April 6th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 840 Toronto voters, (45%) would support a city council motion that would strip the Pride Parade of City of Toronto grants in response to the decision to exclude the Police this year. (36%) would oppose the decision to cancel the grants, while (19%) say they don’t know.

Projected Cost of Scarborough Subway Extension Unreasonable Say Almost Half of Voters

Toronto, April 6th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 840 Toronto voters, close to half (48%), disagree that the projected $3.34 billion cost of the Scarborough subway extension and stacked bus garage is reasonable. A third (33%) agree that the cost is reasonable, and (19%) say they don’t know.

Foreign Buyers Tax on Real Estate in GTA Supported

Toronto, April 3rd – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 884 Ontario voters, almost two-thirds (62%) of respondents say they would support a foreign buyer’s tax on real estate in the GTA. (20%) would oppose the imposition of a tax on foreign buyers, with (19%) saying they do not know.

Tory Still Leads Over Ford

Toronto, March 16th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 966 Toronto voters, amongst those decided and leaning, John Tory (48%) still leads over Doug Ford (32%), though Ford has yet to officially declare his candidacy. (19%) prefer someone else to either Ford or Tory.

Almost 50% Disapprove of No Police Float in Pride Parade

Toronto, March 16th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 966 Toronto voters, just under half (48%) say they disapprove of the fact the Toronto Police won’t have a float in this year’s Pride parade. 2-in-10 (21%) approve of the lack of police float; (27%) have no opinion, and (4%) don’t know.

Majority Favours Bike Lanes
