Mayor Tory unites former adversaries - poll
Favoured among oldest, wealthiest, Chow voters too
TORONTO April
13th, 2016 - In a random sampling of public
opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 858 Toronto voters, as many as 7-in-10
approve of the job John Tory is doing as mayor (71%), and this is especially
the case among the oldest (75%), females (73%) rather than males (68%), the
wealthiest (74%), in the downtown (76%) and among university grads (74%). Of
note, close to one half of Doug Ford voters from the last election approve of
Tory (45%), as do two thirds of Olivia Chow voters (63%).
“Tory has proved to be the great uniter. He has managed to make
allies out of two thirds of the Chow camp, and almost half of Ford nation,
which is no mean feat," said Forum Research President, Dr. Lorne
Bozinoff.
