Canada Should Protect Great Lakes if US Won’t

Toronto, April 26th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ amongst 1479 Canadian voters, a solid majority (57%) believe that if the United States cuts funding to the protection of the great lakes, that Canada has a responsibility to increase great lakes funding in response. Only (23%) say no, Canada does not have a responsibility to increase funding, with (20%) saying they don’t know.

7-in-10 Approve of Minimum Standards for Airline Compensation

Toronto, April 26th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ amongst 1479 Canadian voters, (70%) approve of the Federal Government’s decision to introduce an airline passenger bill of rights that would contain minimum standards of compensation for issues such as “bumping” passengers from oversold flights or lost luggage, for example. Only (13%) disapprove of minimum standards, with (16%) reporting that they do not know.

More than half agree that marijuana should be legal

Toronto, April 26th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ amongst 1479 Canadian voters, more than half (53%) say that they agree that marijuana should be legal in Canada. (38%) disagree, fewer than 1-in-10 report they do not know (9%).

More Now Disapprove of Trudeau Than Approve

Toronto, April 26th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ amongst 1479 Canadian voters, amongst those decided and leaning, the Liberals (35%) and the Conservatives (35%) are tied. The NDP is third (17%), with the Green Party (7%) and the BQ (5%) following behind. (1%) say they support another party.

More Than 6-in-10 Approve of PM Question Period

Toronto, April 26th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ amongst 1479 Canadian voters, (61%) would support the introduction of a special Question Period in the House of Commons dedicated to asking only the prime minister questions. (17%) would oppose such a Question Period, with (22%) saying they don’t know.

Trump's Approval Virtually Unchanged

Toronto, March 24th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 1029 Canadian voters, Donald Trump's approval rests at only (22%), the same as last month (Feb 26th: 22%). His disapproval (65%), while effectively the same as last month (Feb 26th: 66%), is one point lower. Those who respond that they do not know stand at (12%), one point higher than last month (Feb 26th: 11%).

Federal Budget Unpopular

Toronto, March 24th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ amongst 1029 Canadian voters, fewer than 2-in-10 (14%) approve of the 2017 budget. 4-in-10 (40%) disapprove of the budget, while just over a third (36%) have no opinion, with (10%) responding they do not know.
