In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 658 Toronto voters after Doug Ford’s mayoral race intention announcement, amongst those decided and leaning, in a head’s up race between only John Tory and Doug Ford, Tory maintains the lead over his now declared competitor with the support of about two thirds (64%) of voters.

Overall, Ontarians Feel New Far North Ridings Will Benefit Indigenous Peoples

Toronto, August 29th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 981 Ontario voters, four in ten (40%) say that the two new ridings in Ontario’s far north will increase the amount of indigenous candidates that run for provincial political office. One-quarter (24%) say that the number of indigenous candidates will remain the same, but only (4%) say the number of indigenous candidates will decrease.

PCs Lead, Despite Perceived Controversies

Toronto, August 29th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ among 981 Ontario voters, four in ten (40%) say that if an election were held today, they would support the Ontario PCs. Just over a quarter (27%) say they would support the NDP, and a quarter (25%) say they would support the Liberals. Few (6%) say they would support the Green party, while (2%) say they would support another party.

Majority Thinks America Gets Best Result from NAFTA

Toronto, August 28th – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by The Forum Poll™ amongst 1150 Canadian voters, about half (51%) think that the United States will get the best result from the renegotiations of NAFTA. Just under two in ten (17%) say Canada will emerge with the best results, and a small proportion say (4%) it will be Mexico.
