John Tory stretches lead

Among 1167 decided and leaning Toronto voters, more than 4-in-10 will vote John Tory for mayor if the municipal election were held today (43%) while one third will vote for Doug Ford (33%). One fifth will vote Olivia Chow (20%) and very few will vote for another candidate (3%).

In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 1096 Ottawa voters, more than 4-in-10 will vote for incumbent mayor Jim Watson (44%), compared to fewer than half this proportion who will vote for his nearest contender, Mike Maguire (17%).

In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 1581 Canadians 18 years of age and older, Australia posted the highest favourable score (86%) and an extremely high net favourable score (favourable minus unfavourable) of +78 when respondents were presented with a list of 10 OECD countries.

Majority of Canadians oppose Scottish independence

In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll among 1541 Canadians 18 years of age and older, one fifth (21%) claimed to come from a Scottish background. More than one half of Canadians (58%) do not favour Scottish independence.

Rob Ford with strong lead in Ward 2

TORONTO SEPTEMBER 12th, 2014 - In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 474 voters in Toronto's Ward 2 Etobicoke North 6-in-10 will vote for Rob Ford (59%), compared to about one quarter who will vote for his principal challenger, businessman and community organizer Andray Domise (26%).

Liberal lead tightens in New Brunswick

In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 732 New Brunswick voters 11 days before the September 22 provincial election, just more than 4-in-10 will vote Liberal (42%), compared to about a third who will vote Progressive Conservative (32%), for a 10 point lead in favour of the Liberals.
