Guthrie leads race for Guelph mayor

Well more than a third will vote for Cam Guthrie in the municipal election of October 27 (36%), compared to one fifth who will vote to re-elect Mayor Karen Farbridge (21%). Jason Blokhuis attracts less than a twentieth of the vote (4%) and no other candidate gets a significant vote share.

Very few untouched by cancer

As many as 9-in-10 Canadians have been closely touched by cancer (92% in total), either as a close family member of someone who had died of cancer (35%) or of someone who has had cancer and survived (26%), followed by those who have had cancer themselves (10%).

Majority want raccoons euthanized

In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 931 Toronto voters, the majority (53%) approve of the idea of humanely euthanizing raccoons to control their population, while just more than a quarter disagree (27%). One fifth have no opinion (19%).

Mississauga mayor's race stalled in tie

In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among a sample of 696 Mississauga voters, almost exactly equal proportions, just more than a quarter, will vote either for Steve Mahoney (27%) or Bonnie Crombie (26%) for mayor in the municipal election scheduled for October 27.
